Reasons To be Cheerful

I love joining in with this blog hop. It always makes me feel good and I could do with a bit of cheerfulness now. This week it is being hosted over at Bod for tea another fantastic blog if you haven't already discovered it.

So why do I need cheering up? Well I have just enjoyed having my Husband home for 5 weeks and its been wonderful. The girls have loved it too. We have enjoyed valuable family time together, have got out and about visiting family and friends, have had day trips out, enjoyed beach days and Zoo days etc. But like all good things it has to end. He is back to work Monday. Not only is he back to work but he has to go to sea for 10 weeks! That means I am literally going to be a single parent Mum for 10 weeks!!

However, I am also a glass half full find of girl so I am going to focus on the positives and not get down.

1.  Husband being away means I can spend a bit more time on my  blog and tweet as much as I like in the evenings without comments about me being addicted. It also means that this will keep me sane and my lovely twitter friends will stop me from feeling too lonely on those long evenings.

2. It also means I might actually start to lose weight again. While Husband has been home, he has brought into the house all sorts of food we don't usually eat, has encouraged me to snack in the evenings, has treated us to goodies on all the said days out, and has made me so many cups of coffee I think I might need to detox next week. Without anything in the house to tempt me I am bound to lose weight and I might also start exercising again.

3. On a different note, Poppy has started preschool and loves it. It is based within a small village School and this year they have combined the reception and preschool into one class. She even has to wear a School uniform...so grown up. Poppy is a very confident, happy 3 year old and I am sure she will thrive in this environment. I am really happy she loves it already.

Only just 3 but looks so grown up
So there you go. Three reasons to be cheerful when I could just be sad and miserable.

Reasons to be cheerful, 1,2,3

I love this.  The lovely Michelle from Mummy from the Heart gets us all to think about three reasons to be cheerful. I am generally a very happy and cheerful person whose glass is always half full, its hard to think of only three reasons why I am cheerful but here they are:

1.  I have two gorgeous little girls who are growing up everyday.  I love them more than life itself and they mean the world to me.  I feel very lucky to have them and am going to do everything I can to make sure that they grow up into lovely, independent, thoughtful, loving, content and happy adults. Here they are in a new photo we have just had done by Photo Fairy Design

2.  I have a gorgeous Husband who is also a wonderful Daddy. He has been working away this week but is home tonight so we are all very excited and happy about that (particularly me who never sleeps properly when he is away. Hoping to sleep like a baby tonight)! We are also looking forward to spending a lovely family day together on Sunday for Fathers Day.

3. I am really looking forward to next weekend and CyberMummy for a variety of reasons. First, I get to spend a whole day with my lovely Sister (Not Yet A Mummy Mummy). Secondly, I get to meet all my new online friends (especially the MUMenTum girls) and thirdly I get to spend the weekend with my lovely parents who are making CyberMummy possible. Not only did they buy the tickets for my Sister and I (very generous and much appreciated) but they are also babysitting for all three Grandchildren...now that's something to be grateful for! It will be particularly special as its Rosie's 1st Birthday the following week so we are having a little tea party for her with a cake.

So there you are Three huge, massive reasons to be very cheerful and grateful for my life.

Hope you are all as happy as I am this week.

Reasons to be cheerful - week 18

Thanks again to Mummy from the heart for getting us all to record reasons we are cheerful.  It always makes me smile when I write them down!

So this weeks reasons are:

1.  After having a poorly little girl for a week she is all better and back to her cheeky, normal self!

Got her cheeky smile back again

2.  Now that the Easter holiday is over we have been able to get back into our routine and go to our usual groups, so far this week we have been to a toddler group, a music group and a ballet lesson.  Poppy doing ballet always puts a smile on my face!

3.  Husband and I have been getting on really well lately.  We weren't not getting on before or anything, I think having a few weeks at home made him appreciate what I do everyday and made me remember how much I enjoy having him around!  We have been talking lots, laughing lots and just generally getting on.which has been really nice.

4.   Its the weekend already.   Husband has to work until lunch time but then we have a day and a half of family time.  The weather is supposed to be good too so hopefully we will be able to get out and enjoy it, maybe the beach, the zoo or a coastal walk.

Why don't you think of a list of reasons why you are cheerful and hop along to join in the fun!

Reasons to be cheerful 1,2,3 - week 15

I cannot believe another week has gone already.  I am still in a pretty cheerful mood and here are my reasons:

1.  The weather has been gorgeous so we have been able to get out in the fresh air lots

2.  Husband finishes work tomorrow and has two weeks off...yeehhh!!  We will be able to enjoy some quality family time together

3.  As the husband has time off he has suggested I go and enjoy some pampering as a treat, so I am going to book in for a pedicure and maybe another treat while he looks after the girls...bliss!!

4.  I am sticking to my new health and fitness programme and am feeling good!!!
