This Mummy Is Getting A Weekend Off!

You might already know that my gorgeous Sister Not Yet A Yummy Mummy has recently had a little boy. Well I am off to meet him today and of course see my other little Nephew, My Sister and my Brother-In-Law too!

I am very excited and cant wait to have a cuddle of my new little Nephew but I am also looking forward to having a little break too. You see for several reasons, Husband is going to stay home and look after the girls and I am going on my own. I am therefore getting a whole weekend away.

I have not left Rosie over night since she was born and I didn't leave Poppy much before that either so I did have my doubts and feel a little guilty for about oh let me see...two minutes!!

I am going up on the train and going to chill out reading a book and relax with no girls jumping all over me and needing my attention.  I am going to get lots of lovely baby cuddles without the jealous Daughters trying to stop me and I am going to go shopping with my Sister and treat her to a lovely Starbucks! Perfect!!

I cant wait.

I know I will miss both the girls and my gorgeous Husband but am actually looking forward to just worrying about me for a change.

I have left Husband a list with their routine and everything he needs to know (he asked for one as has been away a lot recently) and made sure there is lots of food in and that the house is tidy (not that it will be for long). I have also left Poppy's ballet clothes ready for her lesson.

I am not going to worry about what they are eating, wearing or up to as I am sure it will be different to what I give or do with them.

I hope they all have a lovely weekend and enjoy lots of Daddy/Daughter time and I will see them on Sunday all refreshed after a weekend away.

It was very sad saying goodbye, especially because Poppy cried but now I am going to settle back, relax and enjoy!

Make Me Yummy Blog Hop! - On a mission to find the beauty treatment that really works!

Do you ever look at yourself and wonder where the original you went?...I do.  Do you spend all your money on your gorgeous children buying them clothes and toys..but not spend much on yourself?...I do.  Do you look at yourself and constantly criticize the way you look, wishing you looked younger,  more beautiful etc?...I do. Did you used to make more of yourself, spend more on clothes and makeup but don't bother as much nowadays?...I did. However, now I have decided the time has come to do something about it!!

The title of my blog is "Would Like To Be A Yummy Mummy" and really I would! Recently I have been blogging about my mission to lose weight and get fit and healthy for the Summer.

So far, with the support of the other MOMenTum ladies I am doing pretty well.  I have lost a bit of weight, am taking multi-vitamins which are giving me more energy and I am generally feeling much better about myself. Personally I think this makes me an even better Mummy (not  a vain one) as I have more energy to play with my children and am much more patient and relaxed than a few months ago.

The things I dislike most about myself at the moment are the dark circles under my eyes, my scabby scaly hands (from constant hand washing), my rough dry skin and my lank looking hair. See I really do need a bit of help to make me yummier.

So I am now on the look out for those magic potions, lotions or products that are going to Make Me Yummy. Ladies...watch this space because I am on a mission!!

I have approached a few companies and have been sent several free beauty products to trial over the next few weeks, lucky me! These include creams for both the face and body, deodorant and shower gel. I am also going to be an ambassador for the new Zaggora toning hotpants.

Apparently these bad boys can help you lose up to two dress sizes in two weeks. They are designed to help you get more out of your workout but listen to this...you can also lose weight in them while sleeping. I like the sound of this.  I think I might be living in mine. They are due to arrive in  a few weeks time so watch this space for more information.  I will be blogging about them several times a week and am really hoping that they are going to be as amazing as they say they are. In fact I am hoping they are going to be magic hotpants!!

With all of this going on, I should be feeling back to my old pre-baby self in no time..or maybe a new improved version of me. Anyway, do you fancy joining me on this mission? If so, just write a review about a beauty product, post your favorite beauty tip/ product or even tell us about a relevant upcoming event, it is up to you.  Then add your name to the linky below. It will be an opportunity to discover new products, beauty tips, events going on and to meet other like-minded bloggers you have not "met" yet. Together we can help each other out.  Say goodbye to the tired looking Mummy's and hello to the new improved gorgeous looking one's!

If you are a PR company looking for bloggers to trial and review your products, then look no further than here. All these people in one place looking for that illusive product that is going to really work and turn us into the Yummy Mummy's we all want to be!

Come on, join in the fun and if you want to grab my badge!

Mothers Day, pink roses and creme eggs

What a lovely day today has been.  I had been planning on participating in Silent Sunday but I had too much too say!

This morning Daddy and Poppy gave me a gorgeous card and a beautiful new bead for my Pandora bracelet.  I felt very spoilt.  I was hoping for breakfast in bed but we slept in a bit late and Shane had to rush off to work.  It was not too bad though as we got to join him a few hours later.

By the time I had got the girls breakfast and dressed in pretty outfits and then got myself dressed in a new pretty dress it was time for us to set off.

We met up with Daddy and some of our  friends for a special Mothering Sunday chapel service.  This is not something I do regularly and I was surprised to find I actually enjoyed it!  The children were all involved in the Service which Poppy was thrilled about and the Mums were all given pretty roses which was a very nice touch.

Poppy with her creme egg

After Chapel was a special Easter egg hunt for the children.  Poppy has never done anything like this before. She had great fun running around and managed to find herself two Cadburys creme eggs, bless her!  We then stayed for lunch and coffee afterwards before heading home. It was great to be able to spend the day with Daddy even if he was working and it was good to catch up with the other families too.  We all had a lovely time.

Wishing all you lovely Mummies a Happy Mothers Day.
