72/366 - New School Dress
Poppy was really excited to have some new Summer School dresses and couldn't wait to wear one today. This is her at the end of the day still looking happy with herself . She likes it because its comfy and pretty and I like it because it came home cleaner than her usual outfit.

A Little Gift
Last week I wrote about Poppys first day at pre-school and posted a picture of her in her School Uniform which you can see here. I received lots of lovely messages on twitter telling me how smart she looked and wishing her well but the most surprising one came from the lovely @missgraciebows. She told me Poppy looked liked she needed a new navy blue bow for her hair and she would love to send us one. How kind is that?
We were deligheted when it arrived. This particular one is a small one on a pinch clip, it is avalilable in a variety of sizes and colours (including School colours) and is washable.
I was not asked to write a post or anything but I wanted to just show you how sweet it is and say thank you. Poppy loves it and it looks very smart. I am sure we will be back for more, in fact we might need to get another one so she can wear bunches.
For more information or to check out her range of hair accessories for yourselves, you will find her site here.

1st Day At School
I have just dropped Poppy off at Pre-School for the first time today. She is just doing mornings this week but look how grown up she looks. Husband is still on leave so we all took her on her first day. Happily she walked there singing all the way, once there she ran inside saying "hello everyone". So there you go, my confident little girl is growing up!

We Are Ready For School
![]() |
So grown up!!
My gorgeous little girl is growing up fast! Tomorrow Poppy starts her new Pre-School and is very excited about it. It is actually within a School and she is going to be in a class with the reception children. It is the first time they have mixed the class but I have a feeling my confident little girl is going to thrive in the environment. She has to wear a School uniform too so it feels very much like her first day at School.
I am actually feeling okay about it, not too nervous at all. I know that she is very ready for this and has been for a while. She has been attending a toddler group weekly at the School this year so already knows some of the children and staff. Whenever we walk past it, she points out "my School" and has been wanting to go for some time now.
I will post of photo of her tomorrow but in the meantime I wanted to show you how orgnised we are:
We have her School uniform all ready, washed and ironed with little pink name labels in it. We shopped around looking for a uniform that looked as though it was good quality but at a reasonable price. The Cardigan is from M&S but the skirt and blouses came from Debenhams:
We love the pretty frill on her blouse
We have her new shiny shoes from Start Rite:
Wonder how long it will be until they are scuffed?
We have to leave a drawstring bag at the School with wellies, sun tan lotion and sun hat in (ready for all types of weather). I was a bit disorganised and left it to the last minute when I suddenly panicked and asked for help on twitter. The lovely Laura from Small and Gifted came to the rescue and we are thrilled with it. Not only is her bag gorgeous but it arrived within 48 hours rather than the 21 days most companies were asking for personalised items. Poppy thinks its very pretty and cant wait to take it to School:
So pretty and the sewing looks gorgeous, this photo does not do it justice!
She also has a new lunch box with sandwich box and flask which she picked from Sainsburys:
All ready for lunch on her 1 full day a week
So that it us, all ready and organised for her first day at School. Watch this space tomorrow!
