Thinking Slimmer Whilst Pregnant Update

Having lost a stone and a dress size  with Thinking Slimmer before getting pregnant I wanted to make sure I didn't pile on the weight once pregnant. I therefore spoke with Sandra and we decided I would switch slimpod from the drop 2 Jean sizes to the maintain your weight one - to try and help me stay healthy throughout my pregnancy.

I am now 23 weeks pregnant with baby number 3 and am feeling great!

I listen to my slimpod approximately 2-3x a week and find it has helped me to:
  • Relax and enjoy a good nights sleep
  • Not slip back into old eating habits
  • Not pile on lots of excess weight not baby/pregnancy related
  • Eat a pretty healthy, sensible diet

This was never about losing weight...that would be both silly and irresponsible,.

I am just trying to  stay as healthy as possible for both my baby and myself. and  wanted to prevent slipping back into old eating habits and piling on excess weight that would be hard to shift once this baby pops out! I must admit, I think I might be on the right track.

This is me today at 23 weeks (I have popped out a bit in the past week):

I think you can see the weight is around my tummy where it should be rather than on my legs and bottom!

I am currently eating 3 meals a day plus one snack around 3pm. I always start the day with cereal and am eating plenty of fresh fruit too. I would be lying if I said I haven't eaten any junk but I have not gone mad. I definitely haven't been eating for two.

I think my slimpod has helped me:

  • Want to eat a well balanced, healthy diet,
  • therefore preventing serious food cravings as not missing valuable nutrients
  • Have little sickness
  • Not pig out or over indulge too much
  • Feel good because I am not putting on huge amounts of weight

I have only had 3 weeks of feeling sick during this pregnancy and during that time did crave a few naughty things like sweets and salt and vinegar crisps. I just went with it though, as was feeling awful. Since those few weeks past though, I have  been feeling really good and have eaten much, much better.

I am definitely not worried about losing the weight afterwards either, I will just switch back to my old slimpod and know I don't need to worry or focus on my diet.  This will be particularly good as I am hoping to breast feed again and don't want to have to watch what I am eating. The slimpod makes you chose healthy options, smaller portions without thinking about it.

I am not weighing myself each week but I know what I weighed at the start and will see what I weigh at the end. I never wanted to become obsessed about weight though...as I said, it was about more than that.

For me Thinking Slimmer is helping me to stay healthy throughout this pregnancy and I am feeling great.

Thinking Slimmer & MUMenTUM Update - 16 Weeks Pregnant

Okay at 16 weeks pregnant I am not trying to lose weight, I just want stay as healthy as I can whilst pregnant and not pile on too much excess weight.

To help me with my journey I am still listening to my Slimpods three times a week and joining in with Mumentum every few weeks to record my progress.

The first 14 weeks of my pregnancy went really well and I ate very healthy. ...three sensible meals a day. I didn't eat bread and ate lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. I had no sickness, cravings and just ate normally. I actually felt really good.

Then over the past three weeks things have gone downhill. I have been suffering from quite a lot of queasiness and indigestion. As a result of this I have gone right off of vegetables (tricky when vegetarian) and am struggling with proper meals. They tend to make me feel quite sick afterwards. Even jacket potatoes make me feel quite ill and just seem to sit in my stomach for a long time afterwards.

Over the past week I have settled into a bit of a pattern. Whilst not a wide and varied diet, it does make me feel less queasy and a bit better:

Breakfast - a good sized bowl of cereal (either Special K red berry or porridge)

Mid morning snack - toast & peanut butter

Lunch - a cheese & tomato sandwich or crackers/crackerbread with laughing cow light and/or Marmite on them. With fruit and/or yoghurt afterwards.

Mid afternoon snack - I have to eat mid afternoon or I get very light-headed. Depending on whether I fancy sweet or savoury I have been having either:
  • A bowl of chopped fresh fruit (whatever's on offer in Sainsburys) so... melon, mango, plums, nectarines, apples, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes and bananas, or
  • A packet of salt & vinegar crisps, or
  • A toasted cinnamon & raisin bagel with raspberry jam
Tea - a bowl of pasta with a light tomato & basil sauce or either tinned tomatoes or beans on toast with more fresh fruit or yoghurt for pudding.

It might not be the healthiest diet in the world but I am trying my hardest. I know this bit wont last for ever and am looking forward to getting back to eating proper meals again. In the meantime I will keep you updated.

To find out more about how my pregnancy is developing, keep an eye out on my bump diary. I update it each Tuesday.

Thinking Slimmer Whilst Pregnant

Before Christmas I was feeling great. I had lost weight, was back in my size 12 clothes and feeling liberated by no longer needing to diet. I went to bed each night with my slimpods and generally felt slimmer, happier and more in control of my life than I had in a while.

.....Then I discovered I was pregnant!

I was thrilled of course but at the same time terrified that I would pile on the weight so contacted Sandra from Thinking Slimmer for advice.

Sandra was fantastic. She did advise me to speak to my GP first but they were not much help at all. We then talked and decided that I would continue listening to my chocoholic cure but switch the drop two jeans sizes for the maintenance one.

I have been using these 3-4 times per week for the past 7 weeks, since I discovered I was 6 weeks pregnant. I am really pleased with the results.

Now I must reassure you that I do not plan to lose weight whilst pregnant...that would be ridiculous!

I just want to eat healthy and feel healthy, which is what the slimpod's did for me.

I can tell you that:
  • I have been eating three balanced meals a day
  • I am drinking plenty of water
  • I have only put on a few pounds and am still in my size 12 jeans
  • I have had no cravings
  • I have had no sickness
  • I am feeling pretty good
Now obviously my body is changing at this time but I am feeling okay about it:

I have recently had a scan and all looks okay with the baby too and just as they would expect.

I will be keeping Sandra up to date with how I am getting.on and will let you know too.

In the meantime there is no getting away from the fact that my stomach is going to be growing over the next few months but hopefully you will all be shrinking. I will keep following your journeys so good luck

Keep The Pounds Off Over Christmas With A free Slimpod

I think you all know by now that I have ditched the diet and instead am losing weight and feeling great with Thinking Slimmer and their magic slimpod's. For the past month I have maintained the same weight but I have continued to change shape and like the results I am seeing.

After all I have been through these past few months and how good I am feeling, I do not want to lapse this Christmas. I was recently shocked when I read that on average we eat around 7000 calories between Christmas and Boxing day and will put on around half a stone, that's pretty disgusting when you think about it!

Well this year we don't need to worry about that.

As a special gift to you this Christmas,  I've teamed up with my friend Sandra at Thinking Slimmer to bring you a fabulous ‘Keep The Pounds Off Over Xmas' Slimpod download worth £29.99. It will mean you try out a slimpod for yourself and eat, drink and be merry this Christmas without having to worry about your waistline.

If you are unsure about what a slimpod is they are special voice recordings which use a unique hypnosis method to retune the mind to eat less. You listen for just 10 minutes a day and don't need to diet or count calories.

Sandra, a Harley Street hypnotherapist,  says: “You’ll still be able to enjoy yourself but the Slimpod will make you want smaller portions of everything. No matter what diet you’ve been on before Christmas, our Slimpod downloads will look after your waistline for you. The great thing is there’s no willpower involved. You get on with enjoying Christmas while your mind gets on with controlling your weight."

From December 4th an Xmas Slimpod MP3 download can be yours instantly if go to the Thinking Slimmer Facebook page and click the Like button. You will be shown a special code which gives a 100% discount at the ThinkingSlimmer.com checkout on the 'Keep The Pounds Off Over Xmas' MP3 product.

You will also be entitled to free VIP membership of the Thinking Slimmer club, with no obligation to purchase anything, as well as full online access to over 450 pages of articles and videos on food, fashion and fitness. There's also a recipe club with pages of healthy meal ideas.

I have picked up mine already, anything to help keep me on the straight and narrow over the festive period.

I wouldn't usually advertise on my MUMenTUM post but I just want everyone to feel as good as I do, so would like to share this fantastic opportunity with you.

Thinking Slimmer Really Has Changed my Life

I wanted to update you on my Thinking Slimmer journey and what a journey it has been.

I started back in June as a size 12/14. Although not obese I was definitely a lot heavier then I wanted to be and my body was a different shape to my pre pregnancy one. I wasn't happy with the way I looked! Using the chocoholic cure and drop a dress size slimpods, I did really well and lost inches, toned up and dropped down to a size 12 however, I didn't actually lose much weight.

Then Husband was off for 6 weeks over the summer. We went away and I accidentally left my ipod at home which is where it all went wrong. I stopped listening, ate junk food and 6 weeks later I had put on over a stone and was back in my size 14 clothes. Feeling huge and miserable. No longer feeling pretty in dresses I began living in my jeans.

I spoke to Sandra early in September and she recommended switching to the Drop Two Jean Sizes Slimpod, which I did and I have not looked back since. In fact in the first week I lost 8 pounds!

It does sound a bit of a cliche but now I can say that Thinking Slimmer has really changed my life.

I honestly do not feel the need to diet to any more and I am actually quite happy with the way I look right now. Okay so I could still do with still losing about a stone and toning up a bit but I feel pretty good and am not worrying or obsessing about it.

Nowadays I am even out of my jeans again. I have actually started to wear dresses with boots, a look I really wanted to wear back in September but felt far too fat to carry off:

Me, Nov 2011
With two young girls I was aware that I did not want my erratic and obsessive diet habits to be picked up by them. I myself suffered from anorexia when I was younger and have never been happy with my figure since. Although that was all a long time ago, I have continued to have issues with food and definitely don't want history repeating itself with my daughters. I therefore jumped at the chance of trialling slimpods and am so glad I did. There is no looking back for me now....I am never going to diet again!

Since September I have so far lost one jean/ dress size and about a stone in weight with no dieting, no restricting myself and no cravings at all.  I am confident with the changes I have noticed, that I will be able to drop another jean size soon.

So what changes have I noticed? Well first of all I am eating 3 balanced meals a day and not really snacking at all. If I do snack it will usually be on fruit. My portions are smaller now too and I don't always finish what's on my plate either. I definitely don't go back for more. All of these changes are making me feel healthier than I have in a long time.

Weird things I have noticed include:
  • I no longer look at a chocolate muffin and think yummy, In fact they tend to make me feel a bit sick, I am much more likely to opt for a skinny blueberry one now if I decide to indulge at all.
  • I am not drinking much alcohol. Not that I was a big drinker but I did usually have a bit of wine at the weekend. I have not brought a bottle for ages and cannot remember the last time I drank any.
  • I am buying things in my weekly shopping that I never would have before like Ryvita, Philadelphia light and yoghurt (not just the kids ones).
So how does it work? Well you literally download a slimpod or order a CD. I have mine on my ipod and literally listen to it before I go to sleep each night. To be honest I listen to the drop two Jean sizes, chocoholic cure and the relaxation bonus tracks each night so its about 30 mins but I  fall asleep so quickly (another bonus of slimpods) that I never get to the end. Apparently your ears never stop hearing and  it must be true because it is working. I have not done anything else!

I wanted to mention the Chocoholic cure in particular. This slimpod is really amazing and works so quickly. I was a complete chocoholic when I started this. When I wasn't eating it because of some silly diet, I was craving it daily and talking about it on twitter. After just 6 days of listening to it, I did not need or even fancy chocolate any more. It was amazing. In fact  these days I can take it or leave it now. I rarely eat it, never crave it and if I do have some, I can stop after just a nibble! That would have been unheard of before.

Basically I eat whatever I fancy and as much as I want, the only difference is I tend to fancy things that are good for me now and want smaller quantities! I am eating a healthy, balanced diet which is what we all know we should do and is the most sensible and safest way to lose weight.

The only thing I have not got back into yet and wish I would, is the exercise. In the Summer I was doing an hour a day but I have just not been able to get back into it. I know I should do and that I will feel even better if I do but I have lost the motivation. I am hoping that it is going to return though..

All in all I am loving the effects off my slimpods. This is a life changing experience and I want to say a huge thank you to Thinking Slimmer who have given me the opportunity to trial them. I am not going to forget to take them anywhere again, they really have changed my way of thinking around food and my life!

Monday MUMenTUM Update

I was really pleased this week to discover I had not put on any weight, I have just stayed the same which is quite a miracle really considering what I have eaten this past week

Halloween set me back a bit.  I brought some lollipops and chocolate buttons but no children came! I don't really give my children those sorts of things yet so I kind of ate most of them (Husband had a few and Poppy had some buttons)...whoops!

Then Husband went shopping and brought crusty bread. Having not eaten bread in ages I rediscovered how yummy it is and had several bits over the weekend. Oh and not forgetting the delicious carrot cake I made with my daughter, I had a few slices of that too!

This morning I was very nervous about stepping on the scales and oh so relieved to discover I hadn't put on. I can only think that it is down to my Thinking Slimmer Slimpods. Although I had a few naughty things, I am not binging at all. A mini packet of buttons or two and a lollipop was a perfect treat where as in the past they wouldn't have lasted five minutes!

Now all the treats are gone I wont be getting any more in so hopefully next week I will have lost a  few pounds!

Looking forward to seeing  how well you have all been doing!

I Am Thinking Myself Slimmer - MUMenTUM

I am so excited to report that I have lost another two pounds this week by just listening to my slimpods from Thinking Slimmer each night......its amazing!

Not only am I losing weight slowly and steadily but I am also looking and feeling better. I feel slimmer, look better in my clothes and have more confidence then I have had in a long time.

Most surprisingly of all is my relationship with chocolate.

Having previously been addicted to it, munching my way through bars of the stuff and craving it when I deprived myself all those times I was dieting. Nowadays, I can take it or leave it...yes you read that right. I can leave chocolate!

Believe it or not, having not eaten it in weeks, Husband brought home 2 snickers (used to be my fave!) on Thursday afternoon and they were still there Saturday. He ate his and was eyeing mine up a few hours later so I said "have it". Really I did.  I did have a small bite but that was more than enough, I didn't want any more and didn't get that usual rush either. You know the one when you think "wow, chocolate, amazing"!. Honestly that's what I used to think anyway.

So I really am craved of my chocolate addiction and am instead eating 3 sensible meals a day. I don't tend to snack but if I do it is fruit.

Nowadays I am making lots of healthy choices and in my shopping trolley along with all the usual fruit and stuff you will find:

So there you have it, you really can Think Yourself Slimmer....I know I am.

Thinking Slimmer Has Made My Trousers Fall Down!

So its Monday again and time to report how I am doing with my weight loss.  I have ditched all diets and am purely listening to my Thinking Slimmer slimpods:

After a great a start where I lost 10 1/2 pounds in four weeks I haven't actually lost any this week but I can report that my body is changing shape to the extent that my jeans actually fall down. Not a good look but a very good feeling. I am very definitely back in my size 12s again and this time I am going to stay in them!

I have also noticed that my thinking around food is changing too, I am eating smaller portions, saying no to snacks and going for yoghurt's rather than puddings!  I even made a carrot cake rather than a gooey chocolate one, when Poppy wanted to do some baking this week.

I  am sure I will lose next week.

I have started think that I would like to get back into exercising again this week so watch this space. I am not going to set myself any unrealistic goals though, I am just going to see what happens.

I am feeling really good about losing weight this way. No diets, no excessive exercising, no restricting myself. I eat what I want, when I want but am finding that tends to be healthier meals at meal times. I really do not want my girls to grow up seeing me on a diet all the time so I am going to keep using my slimpods every evening and see what happens.

You will have to come back next week to see how I am doing.

Thinking Slimmer Is Working!

Okay so I have ditched all diets and instead am listening to my drop two jeans sizes and chocoholic cure slimpods from Thinking Slimmer. I listen to them every night before I go to sleep.

In the first week I lost an amazing 8 pounds, the second I lost 2 pounds and this week I lost 1/2 a pound. A total of 10 1/2 pounds in 3 weeks.

Although it is only a very small amount this week I am still pretty chuffed with myself. You see, its that time of the month. Usually I would eat lots of chocolate, feel bloated and yucky and gain several pounds. So I am actually quite happy with a 1/2 pound loss, that's not bad at all.

Even more amazing is the way my thinking patterns are changing around food.  This weekend Husband came home. I filled the fridge, cupboard and fruit bowl with ingredients to make delicious home cooked meals for the family.  Meals like Chicken casserole, Lamb in mint sauce, Chicken with apricot and apple curry and even a roast dinner. However, Husband was a bit disappointed to find no beer, treats or snacks...whoops!! It had not even occurred to me to buy treats.  We were both amazed at this. Usually I would buy a bottle of wine or two, some beer, chocolate and tasty pudding...not this week.

That stone I put on over the summer is almost gone and I haven't dieted, done any exercise or restricted myself in any way!

So there you have it, my thinking patterns are changing, I am losing weight and I am feeling good! I still have a bit to lose but am confident I will do it with the help of Thinking Slimmer and my slimpods.

This post is part the weekly weight loss blog hop. If you are a Mum who wants to lose her tummy then feel free to join in, we are a very lovely and supportive bunch.

MUMenTum and Thinking Slimmer

Okay so last week, I reported that I had finally got off my bottom and got in touch with the Thinking Slimmer team for some support and a kick up the bum. They were fab and decided that I should switch to trialling the new Drop 2 Jean Sizes slimpod. Of course I jumped at the chance after a Summer of indulgence  and putting on a stone.

I started the week off listening to my old Drop a Dress size one which I had been for three weeks.  I then switched on Thursday as soon as I got the new one, in conjunction with the Chocoholic cure. The results are simply amazing....I have lost 8 pounds in total in a week!  I have not dieted at alll, just listen to my slimpod on my iPod each night in bed...easy!

I may not have dieted but have noticed I am opting for healthy choices.  There are no longer pizzas or sneaky chocolate bars & crisps in my shopping trolley (I know, I lapsed this Summer). No instead you will find Ryvita!! Not something I would usually buy or eat but never mind. I am quite enjoying it for lunch these days.

I am not craving fatty or sweet foods preferring to snack on fruit and yoghurt and am back to having breakfast which recently I have been skipping (I know the most important meal of the day). I even had a little glass of rose last night!

I am therefore feeling really positive and am hoping to lose much more with the help of my slimpods.

I cant thank the Thinking Slimmer Team enough and can't wait to report my progress next week.

A New Game Plan - MumenTum

A few months ago I was feeling quite good about myself! I was losing weight, changing shape and although my body was far from perfect, I was feeling happier with the way it was shaping up.

Then came the Summer and Husbands leave. With him around we had lots of day trips, ate out, had ice cream and junk food and I started to pile all the weight back on. I cannot blame him, no it was me and my will power. It was not helped by the fact I stopped listening to my slimpods after accidentally leaving them at home when I went away for a week and then not starting again straight away.

Since then I have also struggled with motivation around my fitness goals. Its been like a vicious circle...knowing what I need to do but not having the motivation to do it. Its not rocket science, I know if I eat well, exercise and listen to my slimpods I will lose weight.

Anyway I have been listening to my Slimpod for almost three weeks now and have started to notice a difference in my snacking habits once again. I have also finally spoken to the lovely Sandra at Thinking Slimmer who has given me the encouragement I need and a new game plan.  I am switching Slimpods and will be trying the new "Drop two Jean sizes" one . I am feeling really good about this. Especially as this is how the fantastic looking Wendy from Inside The Wendy House has lost her weight. Fingers crossed it has the same effect for me.

So from this day on there will be no over indulging, no further dieting, no counting carbs, calories or fat. I am going to be embracing Thinking Slimmer wholeheartedly.

Watch this space to see how I get on.

Monday MumenTum

Ok it is that time of week again when we all catch up and post how we have been getting on with our plans to shape up. As you know my Husband has been home for 5 weeks over the Summer and my healthy lifestyle has taken a nose dive. I ate ice cream and chocolate, drank wine and did no exercise, unless of course you count the walks, days out and running around on the beach with the girls. Maybe I did do a little bit!

Last week I set myself 3 easy goals
How did I do? Well I must admit I did not manage the exercise bit but I did do the other two so two out of three is not too bad!

Since listening to the slimpods again I am feeling much more positive and am ready to shape up for Christmas! This week I am going to be strict with myself.
    1. I am going to weigh and measure myself
    2. I am going to wear my hotpants every day for a min of 30 mins
    3. I am going to exercise in them at least 3x this week
    4. I am going to listen to my slimpods every night
    5. I am going to continue with less coffee more water
Watch this space and I will let you know how I get on next week.
Hope you are all doing well this week and I am looking forward to reading all your posts. Together we can do it.

MUMenTUM

Okay so the letter I wrote to myself last week did not work but I know why I have stopped exercising and eating healthily....

.....it is because I have had my Husband home over the summer!

We have been out and about every day and have indulged in ice creams, chocolate and snacks, I have not listened to my Thinking Slimmer Slimpods and generally got out of the habit of exercising.

However, this week Poppy starts Pre-School and its Husbands last week off.  Then he is away for ten weeks after that. I know that while he is away the cupboard and fridge will not contain any goodies, that I can exercise while Rosie naps and generally get back into it. I will then be feeling great when he gets home and in time for Christmas too.

So my goals for this week are small but realistic:
  • I need to do 30 Min's on the cross trainer 3x this week whilst wearing my hotpants
  • I need to drink more water, less coffee
  • I need to start listening to my Thinking Slimmer slimpods again
That's it! Small changes this week hopefully leading to bigger changes next week.

I am pleased to see that the other ladies are back this week too. I have a feeling we have all lapsed a bit over the Summer so are ready to fully support each other once again. I am looking forward to reading all your posts.

MUMenTUM

I really am not sure what has happened to our little group but I am going to continue to write my weekly post anyway. This week it takes a different form, it is a letter to myself.

Dear self,

Somewhere along the line you appear to have lost your motivation (or mumentum). I am therefore giving you a kick up the bottom to tell you to get on with it.
  • Just because a few people people told you you were looking good does not mean you should stop, you still have a way to go.
  • Just because you have the slimpods does not mean you will continue to lose weight, you have to listen to them.
  • Just owning the hotpants will not help you lose weight, you need to actually wear them.
  • Just owning a cross trainer does not mean you will be fit, you need to get on it and exercise
  • Oh and stop eating rubbish too, its not good for you
You need to find your motivation this week and get back on it.  You know you were feeling really good, had more energy and  were even starting to look better too. So just do it!!

Get yourself on that cross trainer this week, you can do it!

MUMenTum Weekly Update

Well I am not sure what has been happening for the past two weeks but out of our little group that seemed to be growing each week all of a sudden it is just little old me! Have I missed something? Never mind though, I will let you know how I have been getting on anyway!

I have been away for a fabulous few days with family.  I have eaten, drank and not done any exercise.  I even stupidly left my ipod behind with my Slimpods on them so am not feeling my best right now. In the past few weeks we have had friends to stay, visited others but am now back home.  This week I am back on my mission!!

Husband is off and we have lots of fun things planned but I am going to do my best to eat healthily, do my exercise and start listening to my slimpods again.  I really have no excuse, I have all the gear including slimpods, hotpants, dvds and a cross trainer. I just need to throw myself back into it again. The good thing is I want to do it and I know I feel good when I do so watch this space!!

MUMenTum - Week 15

Wow, week 15 already..I feel as though I should be super skinny by now but I am not.

Okay here's the confessions:

Last week I had friends to stay, good friends I have not seen for ages. Of course this resulted in me drinking far too much wine (I don't drink very often), eating too much food and of course having treats like ice-cream! Why do we do that to ourselves? During these few days I also forgot to listen to my slimpods (shock horror, it must have been the wine)! I have also not done any exercise for two weeks.

Wow, written down like that, it looks bad.  No wonder I am feeling so tired, sluggish and grumpy recently. I have also noticed my jeans are getting a bit tighter again.

I have given myself a big kick up the bum and today I  am starting again. Still not on a diet I will:
  • Listen to my slimpods every night
  • Contact Sasha from Thinking Slimmer to discuss my lack of progress
  • Make sure we have lots of healthy food in
  • Start exercising again
Hopefully, I will be able to report back with good news next week.

Hope you are all doing better than me.

MUMenTum - Week 14

Hi ladies,

Well frustratingly for the past two weeks I have stopped losing weight and seem to have reached a plateau, even though I have still have more to lose. I have been using my slimpods every night but have not been exercising due to being away and having visitors etc.

I have realised that I need to exercise to stay this size.

I know I am not obese or anything! I am a comfortable UK12. Actually some of them are in fact lose and I can fit into some smalls or 10's but I would not say I am a size 10 yet.  I am also heavier than I would like to be! The thing is I would like to be a bit smaller having come this far and definitely don't want to get bigger again.

Despite wanting to lose a bit more, I am actually feeling good about myself at the moment. Just in case you haven't seen these photos yet, this was me at the weekend:

I felt very pretty in my gorgeous pink Coast dress.

This week I have visitors but once they are gone I am going to go back to exercising 3-6 times per week. I am also going to be speaking to the lovely Sasha at Thinking Slimmer for  a bit of advice. I will of course continue to drink plenty of water and fruit tea too (although a little wine might be consumed this week too...sorry)!

Hope you are all doing better than me.

Oh and where has the gorgeous sun gone? I haven't had my little white shorts on yet!

Feel free to join in with this blog hop too. We do are a friendly, supportive group! All you need is a Mum Tum you wish to get rid of. Write a post, grab the badge and add your name to the linky.

MUMenTum - Week 13

Hello again,

Its week 13 already and although I had been doing very well the past few months, I have just spent the week at my parents and feel as though I have put a bit back on.  In particular I have noticed my stomach is not as flat as it was last week. Although I didn't eat lots of unhealthy stuff, I did eat bread which I don't usually eat and I have not been exercising either.  It really has made a difference.

On a good note though, I brought a new dress during the week....in a SIZE 10!!!  Get me.  So exciting.  I also have brought a few new t-shirts in a 10 too but they do look more like 12s if I am honest.

So that's me.  I am a UK size 10-12 and feel quite good.  Yes I need to exercise to keep this way but I am not as fat as I have been in the past, my tummy is flatter than it has been for a while and I feel okay about the way I look.

This week I do want to be good.  I have a ball to go to on Friday night and have a beautiful new dress to wear (bright pink of course)! So I am going to continue to listen to my slimpods every night and am going to exercise in my hotpants too.  I am not on a diet any more but will not eat junk or bread and will drink lots of water and fruit tea. Hopefully that way I will be feeling pretty in pink on Friday evening.

Hope you are all doing well too

MUMenTum - Week 12

Hello ladies,

Just a short post this week. I have been using my slimpods and my hotpants and I have actually been shrinking!!!

I ordered a load of new dresses recently in size 12 and they were all too big and had to go back. Part of me was disappointed as they were gorgeous but the other part was excited yipppeee!!

I am therefore going shopping this week to treat myself and am hoping to fit into a few size 10s! I do have a sneaky suspicion I might be in between sizes but we will have to wait and see. Watch this space for an update.

The past few days have seen me celebrate my Husband and Daughter's birthday so I have been indulging in party food and cake but I am not too worried.  I will just be good again tomorrow.

Hope you girls are all doing okay too. I will be checking out all of your posts this week :-)

MUMenTum - Week 11

Hello again,

Wow its been 11 weeks we have been doing this for .....its amazing.  For me things have changed drastically since the start.  The main thing is I am no longer on a diet!! Thats right no more dieting for me.

I have ditched the diet and instead have been listening to my Thinking Slimmer Slimpods and have been wearing my Hotpants and guess what?  I feel great!

I even went out this week and brought a pair of little white shorts for the summer.  They were a size 12 and I slipped them on without undoing the zip or button...amazing! We still have a few weeks left before husband is on holiday so maybe I should try them on in a 10...not sure they will fit over my bottom though! I will have a think about it.

Now I am not claiming to have dropped a dress size yet but I am feeling slimmer.  I could probably safely lose another stone and believe I will but not through cutting carbs.  No I am going to continue the way I am.

Now I have been slacking on the exercise lately but managed an hour on the cross trainer yesterday and felt good.  Therefore this week my aims are:
  • 1/2- 1 hour exercise 6 days a week
  • Wear my hotpants
  • Listen to my slimpods every night
  • Continue drinking lots of water
  • Continue with fruit tea
I am a bit annoyed with myself as I seem to have misplaced my measurements again. To be honest I think little Miss is getting taller and has moved it along with £25 pounds. Anyway, I will be measuring again to record my progress too.

Hope you are all doing well too and look forward to reading all your posts.

If you are checking this out for the first time all you need is a  MUM TUM, write a post, grab the badge and add your name to the linky.  We are all very supportive and appreciate new members :-)
