For those of you who don't know last week saw the lauch of the new Thomas & Friends movie called Day of The Diesels. RRP 12.99 on DVD and 14.99 on Blu-ray.
Despite being a girly girl, Poppy loves anything to do with trains: real ones, cartoon ones it doesn't matter, she loves them all ...especially Thomas the Tank Engine. We were therefore thrilled to be approached to trial this new DVD.
The film lasts approximately 60 minutes and is centred around the friendship of Thomas and Percy. I actually thought that it was nice to see so much of another engine. I don't want to ruin it for you by telling you the whole story but it showcases the rivalry between diesel engines and steam engines on the island of Sodor. It is based in a new destination - the dieselworks and reintroduces Diesel 10, the most devious of all diesels.....ooohhh!
You will see familiar faces as well as be introduced to new ones: Belle, Flynn, Den and Dart.

Certain to be a hit with old fans and new, this is an exciting, thrill a minute movie that will be sure to keep your little ones happy. Poppy actually sat through the whole film, which is a first for her. She went through a range of emotions, feeling very sorry for Percy in places and then excited and happy too. I must admit it even made me smile.
