Pretty Little things - Mummy and Me

This weeks topic for Pretty Little things is "Mummy and Me". Since being pregnant I seem to be the person taking all the photos and am not in many of them so I decided to take one especially for this post.

Its not the best photo in the world but it shows me with my two pretty little girls, looking gorgeous in their matching dresses.

Husband has two weeks leave at the end of the week and is planning on doing a family photo shoot. for us all. We are going to get some pregnant ones of me and some nice ones of all of us together. Fingers crossed they turn out OK.

Pretty Little Things - Favourite Colour

Both my girls are very girly and love petty things (thank goodness). However they like different colours.

Poppy absolutely loves the colour pink and practically everything she owns is pink. Whilst Rosie on the other hand loves purple. It was one of the first colours she learnt and she gets really excited when I dress her in purple.

As always I had to choose a pretty outfit so I chose tutus...perfect for my little princesses. Poppy has a pink one and Rosie a purple one:

The girls  are going to be sharing a room once baby number three comes along and I am already starting to think about how I can decorate it. I am looking for pretty bedding with both pink and purple in it as I  would love them to have matching. You will have to watch this space to see what I come up with.

Pretty Little Bows From The Bow Company

As regular readers will know we love pretty little things in this house especially pretty bows and hair accessories.  The girls are rarely seen without something gorgeous in their hair and call them their finishing touch!. We were therefore thrilled to be approached by our favourite on-line shop The Bow Company  to review their exciting new range.

We didn't know what to expect so were really excited when this gorgeous package of goodies arrived. Everything was wrapped in white tissue and you cant miss the trade mark pink envelope that comes through the door.

They couldn't have got it more right with all these gorgeous girly pink accessories plus a navy blue one...perfect for Poppy for School. She has happily gone off wearing it today.

The new range is fantastic with beautiful names like Ella, Felicity, Olivia and Jessica. These bows really are as pretty as they sound.

I first brought hair accessories from this shop last year and wrote about them here. Since then I have brought more for my girls and for presents for others too. I can tell you that they are extremely well made and despite being well used and loved, ours still look like new.  None of them have frayed or come apart at all. We cannot fault them. Not bad going for a toddler and preschooler.

Rosie  looks really cute in the hot pink candy stripe clippies and both girls love  the pink heart Jessica bows.  Poppy favours the gorgeous pink bow with feathers. She took to it straight away and hasn't let Rosie have a try yet:

I think you can see they are all gorgeous and are going to get lots of use. We give The Bow Company a huge 10/10 for design, choice, quality and service and would recommend to you all.

Pretty Little Things - Favourite Toy

My girls love soft toys and have millions of the things. Both of them like to fill their bed/cot with as many as they can:

Poppy went through a stage of taking this Winnie the Pooh with her everywhere and fondly called him Yellow Ted,  although these days is not attached to him at all:

Whilst Rosie will not go to bed without her beloved baby Annabel:

However there is one toy that both girls have had since birth and love.  He is very cute and very  soft and fluffy

My Nana and Grandad brought this gorgeous soft rabbit for Poppy when I was pregnant with her. She took him to bed every night until Rosie came along and then kindly handed him over to Rosie when she was born. Now Rosie has taken him to bed every night since she was born. I wonder if she will pass him onto the next one!

Pretty Little Things - Denim

Another week and another chance to showcase some of the pretty little things we have in this house.

So this weeks topic is denim! Anyone who knows me or this blog will know that my little girls never wear trousers so would never be seen in jeans - there is plenty of time for that. They do however, have several lovely denim dresses and skirts.

This is one of my favourite skirts.

Its was brought for Poppy a few years ago from Mamas and Papas. Despite being worn to death it has worn and washed really well and still looks like new.  I love it

A very girly version of denim: comfortable, durable but ever so pretty too. It can be dressed up and dressed down and I think my girls look fab in it:

Pretty Little Things - Footwear

Now I love shoes but I managed to resist all the gorgeous little baby ones and keep my little girls bare foot until they were able to walk properly. Apparently this is best!

Little Rosie didn't get her first pair until she was around 15 months.  She was able to walk long before this. I  just could not find the perfect pair so had to limit her to walking inside.

Eventually I did find some and I was really pleased with them:

These are not just any shoes. They are barefeet ones.  by Livie and Luca. Not only are they gorgeous, light, soft and flexible, they are also the next best thing to having bare feet!

As you can see Rosie loved them and couldn't wait to get and play:

Since then we have gone on to buy more for both girls:

They are totally gorgeous and the girls love them. They come in a range of bright funky colours so look good as well as being better for their feet. Everyone we sees comments on how pretty they are!

Pretty Little Things - A Cot Fit For A Princess

Another week and another pretty little thing to show off.

This week the title is A Cot/Bed Fit For A Prince/ Princess.

As soon as I became pregnant I knew exactly which cot I wanted. It was the one my friend had, the Stokke Sleepi. Advertised as "shaped like Mummy's tummy' it is round rather than the usual rectangle cots you can get.

A very girly girl who hates straight lines and loves curves, it was perfect! We did actually get the canopy for it soon after poppy arrived but I cant find any photos of it on, despite knowing  I have taken lots. The bottom middle one has it on but its not a close up. It is so pretty so its a shame I cant show it off at its prettiest:

The cot grows with your little one and Rosie is still in it now. Only for a while though as I will be kicking her out ready to make it small again for our new arrival (sorry sweetie, I love you and will replace it with a beautiful new big girls bed)!

If baby number three happens to be a boy this time I will be buying the blue and white spotted bumper and sleep sack for them to update it and make it more boy looking!

I love this cot and am so pleased we brought it. It really is the prettiest cot ever, definitely fit for a Prince or Princess!

Pretty Little Things - Cute and Cosy Nightwear

As my regular readers will know I love all things pretty and have two gorgeous girly, girls who I love to dress up.

This linky from Mummy Daddy and Me Makes Three and Dear Beautiful Boy is therefore one I just have to join in with. Its a great place to showcase some of my favourite pretty little things.

This weeks topic is cute and cosy nightwear.

We have a lovely evening/bedtime routine in this house and I love it when the girls are all bathed and cosy in their clean pyjamas.  It was hard to choose just one piece of nightwear but in the end I selected this gorgeous dressing gown.

It is cream and pink and very soft and fluffy. The hood has little bunny ears and Poppy looks very cute it in it. She tells me its very warm and snuggly too.

Just gorgeous.

35/366 - A Beautiful Tutu

I have written lots about Poppy's love of ballet and her ballet lessons. At only three she is not yet graceful but she looks adorable and tries very hard. During her lessons she listens to her Teacher and tries very hard to copy her movements, whilst at home she does not stop dancing and twirling all day long.

This is her modelling her gorgeous new tutu. A special treat from mummy....just because!

Pretty Little Things - Favourite Winter Accessory

For those of you who like me, love all things pretty, this is a fab new linky. This weeks topic is Winter accessories.

With two little girls it was hard  hard to choose just one favourite winter accessory but in the end I picked Rosie's hat.

This gorgeous knitted hat is a lovely dusty pink colour and  has a fleece lining so is lovely and warm. The crotched flowers on the front in dusty pink, bright pink and white. add a a very cute touch.

Although it was aged 3-6 months, it managed to fit her until she was 16 months! Then I finally gave in and brought her a new one. I loved it and so did she. I think you will agree its very pretty and most importantly it kept her head/ ears lovely and warm:

Pretty Little Things - Coming Home Outfit

My regular readers will know that I  am a very girly girl and love all things pretty, so when I noticed this linky at Mummy Daddy  and Me Makes Three and Dear Beautiful Boy, I just had to join in.

This is a new linky and this weeks topic is coming home outfits.  I tried really hard to find a photo of either of my girls the day they came home but they are all wrapped up in blankets. Anyway this is Poppy at 2 weeks wearing the dress I brought.

It was a gorgeous pale pink cotton one from the Disney store and has a little Eyeore on the bottom. it also has little white knickers with tiny pink spots on..so cute. 

I loved it so much and it had such little wear that I decided to put Rosie in it too when she came home. Both my girls were Summer babies so it was perfect and I just couldn't find anything I liked as much. This is a very special dress to me and I haven't been able to give it away....luckily as baby number 3 is also going to be another Summer baby and we don't know if its another girl yet!
