The Gallery - Travel

This weeks Gallery Topic is Travel, something I love and is important to me but have not done for a while.

Husband and I have always enjoyed our holidays together. We have travelled around the Greek islands on last minute cheap holidays. We have enjoyed all inclusive holidays. We have been on Diving holidays and explored the Egyptian Pyramids. We have even skinny dipped in the Brunei rain forest. We have skied, snowboarded, ice skated, camped and seen bears in Canada.  But our favourite place in the world has to be relaxing on the beautiful beaches in the Maldives.  I know I am so spoilt lucky.

Even when our first Daughter came along we went on a three week road trip around America.  Since Daughter number two arrived a year ago we haven't been anywhere and recently we have started to get the travel bug again.

We are starting to wonder what it will be like to travel with two small children and how our holidays might be different.  We recently moved to South Devon and were thinking about spending an English Summer here near the sea...now we are seriously considering a break further a field.  You will have to watch this space to see if we get there.

Want To Look Good Naked? Magic Hotpants Giveaway!

As you may already know I am fortunate enough to be an ambassador for Zaggora Hotpants.  These babies are supposed to help you lose up to two dress sizes in two weeks.  I have had them for seven days now and have practically lived in them since they arrived.  I am feeling good and have high hopes for them working. I call them my Magic Hotpants!

Sadly not my bottom, this one is courtesy of Zaggora.com

They look pretty similar to wet suit cycling shorts, but are surprisingly comfortable.  The idea is that you exercise in them but research has shown that even by wearing them to bed you will notice a difference in 8 weeks.

So how do they work? Well here comes the science bit.....

".....HOTPANTS™ have been specially engineered for over 2 years using technology to get the results you deserve. They work hard to reflect your natural body heat to promote deeper warming of your tissue leading to up to 80% more perspiration. They mean business by flushing out your toxins and fat cells that contribute to the appearance of cellulite. Naturally, best results are achieved when you are working out ".

Now if you are reading this and thinking "I want to get my hands on a pair of them" then this could be your chance.  I have teamed up with Zaggora to give one lucky winner an opportunity to win a pair of their very own! Priced at £44.99 each this is a fantastic prize.
All you have to do is follow me on Google Friends Connect and leave me a comment below saying why you would like a pair.
For an extra chance you can also
  •  Tweet the following "I want to look good naked and have entered to #win a pair of Zaggora hotpants at http://bit.ly/nKJiPq with @wouldliketobe
  • Like my FB page (there is  a like button on the right hand side of my blog
Please leave a separate comment for each of these.  You can have a maximum of three entries. Oh and don't forget to leave a way to contact you, ie twitter id, Facebook or email.

The winner will be picked at Random on 20 July at 7pm.

Good luck and thank you Zaggoara.

MUMenTum - Week 10

Hello again ladies,

This week has been a great week for me.  As you know I have been sponsored to trial the Thinking Slimmer Slimpods and have actually completed the first 21 days.  I didn't want this weeks post to be just all about that so you can read about my experience here in my review.

So where am I up to with my weight loss?  Annoyingly I have misplaced my measurements page but I can tell you when I measured yesterday I have lost another inch from around my waist.  That is without dieting at all. I am very chuffed! I can also see a noticeable difference around my chin...yes my double chin has gone! In fact all over, I am feeling like I am on my way to dropping  a dress size which is what I wanted to do.

Now I do not claim to be obese or anything.  Its just since having a baby my whole shape changed.  I am back to my pre-pregnancy size 12 but seem to be fatter than usual and of course everything is that bit softer too.  With the use of my Ab toning belt, cross trainer and exercise DVD's I am starting to shape up and feel good about myself again. I am not quite bikini ready but am hoping to get there.

Last week I wrote that I wanted to do exercise 6 days per week.  I used my ab toning belt daily but only managed three times on the cross trainer. However, I said I wanted to drink fruit tea and lots of water too.  This I have managed to do.

Then of course is the Zaggora hotpants...yes its very exciting they are here at last.  They claim that you can drop two dress sizes in two weeks. Although I do not need to lose that much I am going to give them a good try and see what happens. This week I am going to wear them every day and aim to do a minimum of half an hours exercise a day in them. Apparently this is like doing a work out double that! That has got to be good.

So here is a photo of my bottom this week as taken by Poppy:

My Big Bottom

I am hoping in a few weeks time it will look more like this:

I will also continue with the Slimpods, drinking lots of water and fruit teas.

Hope you ladies are all feeling as positive as me and look forward to reading your updates.

Thinking Slimmer - Can It Really Be That Easy?

It is Day 21 of my Thinking Slimmer experience and wow what an experience.  At the start I was a little sceptical.  I thought how on earth can listening someone's voice change the way I think and help me lose weight. On top of that I was thinking if its that easy than why on earth do we have a problem with obesity in this country?

I was lucky enough to be sponsored by Thinking Slimmer and after talking to the lovely Sasha we decided I should try the Drop A Dress Size and the Chocoholic Cure Slimpods.  I was initially on a high protein/ low carbohydrate diet but was told to ditch that and just listen to my Slimpods each night.  I was bit worried about doing that but did as she asked.  I downloaded my Slimpods including the free chill out one that was included and started my journey.

Now I am not claiming to have dropped a dress size in 21 days (in fact after re-introducing carbohydrates back into my diet I actually put on a few pounds first) but I do believe I am on my way to doing just that.  For me, it has been smaller things I have noticed that I know will lead to weight loss.

First there has been the reduction in appetite: I eat smaller meals, do not snack and don't crave chocolate any-more.  I have eaten it twice in the past 21 days but it did not make me want more or even think wow chocolate!.  I have started to slow down whilst eating, actually tasting and enjoying my food. I am also fancying lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.

An added bonus I have discovered is improved sleep which obviously has a dramatic effect on my mood too.  Finally I just appear more confident and happy about myself.  Twice in the past week I have had comments along the line of "you look really good" even though I have not had a substantial weight loss!

I am going to keep on listening to my Slimpods each night and I will report back in another few weeks.  I am certain that I will be able to report a good weight loss.

It really is easy. You just listen to them each night before you go to bed. Nowadays I rarely make it past the first few minutes before I am in the most delicious deep sleep. This has got to be a much healthier way than the constant yo-yo dieting I am used to.  As a Mum to two gorgeous little girls, I want to set a good example to them by eating a healthy balanced diet.

Don't just take my word for it though.  You really should try them for yourselves.

Please note that although I was sponsored to trial the Chocoholic Cure and Drop A Dress Size Slimpods all words are my own!

Make Me Yummy Blog Hop - Week 6

Hello again,

Its now week six of this blog hop already.  For those of you who have just found me I am on the look out for products and tips that are going to make us Mummy's feel a little bit yummier.  All you have to do is publish a post about your favourite product or tip and add your name to the linky. They can be beauty, fashion or fitness related, it doesn't matter.... anything you would recommend to others as something that works and makes you feel a bit yummy.

This weeks product from me is a cheap and cheerful one:

Sanex dermo Pro Hydrate Shower Cream. It is for those of us who have very dry skin.  I have mentioned before that I suffer from eczema and although it is not that bad at the moment I do have times where it flairs up.  For this reason I have to be very careful of products I use.

At only £2.00 for 250mls this product is not going to break the bank. However, I was actually sent three different Sanex shower creams/ gels for dry & sensitive skin to trial and review.  I have been using this one for a few weeks now and I must say I am really impressed with the results! It is not oily or greasy at all which makes a nice change for products aimed at dry skin.  It has a light pleasant scent and leaves my skin feeling very clean and very soft.  The place I have noticed the most difference is on the tops of my arms. They are noticeably smoother and softer then usual.

In fact this is going to be my new shower cream of choice (once I have used up the others of course).  I am going to give it a score of 10/10 and would highly recommend to others.

Check out the Sanex website here as they have products for every skin type.

I am looking forward to having a look at all of your reviews and tips.  Don't forget to grab my badge if you wish.

Although I was provided with a 250ml sample, these are all my own words and products do not make it into this blog hop unless I really believe in them.
