Boot Cut Boot Camp Bootie

As you may have noticed from yesterdays post I am back on my health and fitness plan but this time it will be different....this time I have the help and support of some fellow bloggers who also want to shift the pounds.

A group of us have got together and decided that now is the time.  We want to look and feel good for ourselves, for our children and for the Summer!!

We are all doing different diets/ eating plans and different types of exercise.  Some have joined a gym, others are cycling, I personally am doing my Hip Hop Abs DVD's and using my cross trainer.  I guess whatever works for each of us.  The main thing is though, that we are all blogging about it and are all now supporting and commenting on each others progress, which can only be a good thing!

We all look after our families and make sure that they eat really healthily but then neglect ourselves.  Now is the time we are going to get our acts together.  I personally want to be able to throw on a pair of shorts and head to the beach feeling pretty this Summer as I live near the sea!

This is a photo of me on my honeymoon.  At the time I couldn't believe My Husband had taken this photo and thought I looked fat!  Now I can't believe I am putting it on the internet for all to see!!  I was a UK 10-12....I don't dare put a similar one of me now but needless to say, I am a bit larger all over!!  I would love to look like this again!
I would like to look like this again!

These are the lovely ladies also starting a plan with me:

Feel free to follow our progress and comment on how we are doing...we all love comments!!

  1. Whoa check you out and topless too! I am too prudish for that, although I have thought about it. I think photo's are great for motivating!

I always give myself a wake up call when the summer is coming, there is nothing worse than feeling you have nothing to wear and what you do wear may be unflattering. Not to mention bikini's!! My holiday this year is at my parents in Spain so not many people have to be subjected to my stomach but the odd trip to the beach will! Great incentive for me...

I am getting annoyed though as my son hasn't had a nap and I NEED to get on the bike *sigh*. Who needs excuses when they have kids!

Great post and glad we are all in it together! :-) xx

  2. Actually we were on a deserted island. Just my new husband, me, a picnic and a pelican bird! I wouldn't normally do it! A holiday is definitely reason for motivation! We will be in those bikinis before we know it. It is hard to get the exercise in though. If I do it in the morning while the youngest is napping all is OK but on days like today when we were out, its hard to fit in. Must do some tonight x

  4. I totally agree about looking after others and neglecting ourselves. I always cook really lovely and healthy meals for my wee one and pay attention to what he eats. I wish I put as much effort into my own eating. Good luck this week!

  5. I thought I was plump at Uni. I would give anything to look like that now. Was a size 12.
Now my jeans are an 18 :-(
